World Space Week 2019

World Space Week occurs each year October 4-10.

It is the largest space event on Earth. More than 5,000 events in over 80 countries celebrated the theme “Space Unites the World” in 2018.

The 2019 theme is “The Moon:  Gateway to the Stars.”

Pip thinks that a great way to celebrate is to read one of the Rocket Team books.  If you can't find one at your local library, ask the librarian to order one for you.

They are available from several online sources, including Amazon.com/auth/mickeykulp.

Below is a sample moon image from Mickey Kulp, creator of the Rocket Team series of children's picture books.  He is creating an educational space art book suitable for all ages - even adults.

A small flock of Kounotori (‘white stork’ in Japanese) delivers cargo to many different Moon stations.
Each of these automated ships is bringing six tons of supplies to lunar orbit.
The Japanese space agency (JAXA) is proud of these dependable, workhorse vehicles.
