Most data around Gordo Station on Mars comes from an army of small, tough rovers that search for resources like water ice and minerals. But the Rocket Team also has human explorers that are not as specialized as the rovers. Instead, these explorers have training in a broad sweep of topics, and they are keen observers.
This explorer is using survey tools to find a good spot to build a new landing pad. Dozens of incoming landers are bringing crews from all over the world.
He'll ask for some robot diggers to build the new landing pads while he supervises.
