Lunar Gateway

NASA and other partners are designing a small space station that will orbit the Moon one day. They call it the Gateway.

Astronauts traveling to and from the moon will use the Gateway as a temporary home.

The Gateway will be like a much smaller version of the International Space Station (ISS). It will have living quarters, laboratories, and places for visiting spacecraft to attach (also called docking ports).

NASA plans for the Gateway to be a kind of orbiting home base for lunar explorers.

If you built a space station orbiting the moon, what kinds of activities would it support? Would it have a swimming pool? A tennis court? Tell me at
