Mick and Robonaut Rhonda |
Mick is all over the place these days. Today, he sent me this:
I was impressed with Robonaut Rhonda. Along with a dozen astro-construction workers, I spent most of the day with her working on Axiom's newest space station (they just call it "Rhonda's Place" for now).
We found a coolant leak and traced it to a loose fitting. Luckily, the station is modular, and we popped open a cabinet's back panel and tightened it down.
In case you don't know, Axiom builds commercial space stations and orbiting factories. Over the years, moving some manufacturing into space has helped slow down climate change and reduce pollution.
Each month, hundreds of workers visit Axiom stations, and low Earth orbit (LEO) is buzzing with activity.
